Mobile Search Awards honour innovative search solutions
Yell.com mobile maps picked up the top award for 'Best Location-Based Service' at the Mobile Search Awards on Sept 16, 2008. The service is the latest addition to Yell's suite of free-to-use* mobile products and offers an innovative application that provides an authoritative map-based source for local business information in the UK. The service is free* and available on more than 150 of the most popular mobile handsets.

Organised by telecoms analyst firm Visiongain, the awards honour businesses and individuals who have raised the bar within the mobile search and discovery industry.
Yell.com mobile maps was up against a range of innovative mobile search providers, but leading experts from the mobile industry judged Yell.com mobile maps to be the best in its class.
Julian Pasin, leading Visiongain telecoms analyst and one of the judging panellists, commented: "Yell.com mobile is a great example of the high quality of services and innovation on offer from all the participants this year.
